VGChartz informa que el día 25 de este mes Microsoft va a desvelar muchas novedades, entre ellas, 12 nuevos títulos exclusivos para 360 que están en camino :babas (se rumorea Mass Effect 2, Assassin's Creed 2 :preocupado , 2 juegos sobre Halo, etc), el mismo día que se supone según este rumor, que tendremos la nueva interfaz (¿tan pronto?), 12 demos para descargar, novedades del contenido exclusivo de GTA, nueva expansión para Mass Effect, Portal, y un mapa gratuíto para Halo 3.

También ofrecerán seis nuevos juegos XBox Originals, entre ellos se habla de que estará Halo de forma gratuíta :?

También aparecerán nuevos servicios, como la descarga de música, que supongo que serán only USA, como viene siendo de costumbre con este tipo de servicios.

A ver qué se cumple de todo esto... con la mitad me conformo!


September 25th 7pm EST. Microsoft will start a five hour countdown to relaunch their console. Yes that is right nothing short of a relaunch is acceptable. At the end of the five hours your console will update to the new interface with full functionality. To promote this most historic event with a full fledged media blitz. Microsoft has gone so far as to rent television space as in rent a channel. For those five hours G4 television will cover the event exclusively with live coverage. For those with Live they will be able to download or stream the channel.

First there are three new pages that are going to be unveiled. The first page is a strategic partnership with Sirius Satelite Radio. For a modest monthly fee you will be able to run Sirius radio through your 360 with no additional hardware needed, and you will be able to pay for the service with Microsoft points. The upside is that everyone with access to live will get a free week to play with the service, and it will be accessable while in game.

The second page is a new music store for downloading music directly onto your 360. Once again for an obvious charge which can be made through Microsoft points. However you will also be able to download some game music free of charge. How could we play Gears of War 2 without playing the Halo concerto right over the games music.

The third channel is called mad lib, and the author claims to have absolutely no clue as to what mad lib is about. However the author suspects it has something to do with a picture within picture function. I have no clue why anyone would want a picture within their game, but what the hell this rumor is batshit crazy anyway.

Microsoft will release a dozen new demos after the launch. There will be four new downloadable pieces of content a preview of the GTA DLC. A Mass Effect expansion. Portal and a free map pack for Halo 3.

Microsoft will unveil twelve new games never seen before that will be exclusive or first on the 360. Strangley enough the author only gives out code names for said games. Though they speculate that among them is Assassins Creed 2, Mass Effect 2, A new Conker title, A rare shooter new franchise, and two new Halo titles. Apparently from what they were told.

Apricot, Burden, Conker, Dramatis, Error, Fender, Gargoyle, Hiroshima, Ignorance, Jeremiah, Kyoto, London.

Then there are six free xbox originals that will be available for download. Three of which are not yet on the service, but will be available right after launch. The only game the Author could confirm was Halo would be a free game. These games will only be available to Live gold members, and they will only be available to those that have an account of long standing.

Uf, como dice Pelanes, si se confirmasen aunque fueran sólo la mitad ya sería una muy buena notícia. Lo del nuevo dashboard en principio no parecía que se fuera a adelantar tanto, pero no sé...veremos, veremos!

Este fin de año pinta cojonudo para la blanquita. Excelentes juegos por salir, y encima ahora 12 novedades de las punteras.

A pesar de tu cara Pelanes, yo le tengo ganas a ese posible Assassins 2, a ver si este es realmente el juego que deberia haber salido desde un buen principio. El primero parece a medio hacer.

La verdad es que mi sorpresa era más por que el juego sea exclusivo, que no por otra cosa. Ya me parece raro siendo multi el primero... no me lo trago. De todas maneras, si que me da mal rollo una segunda parte como sigan en el mismo plan que el primero.

Pues si que tienes razón ahí. Aunque viendo el nivel de PS3 en juego no me extraña que vaya perdiendo juegos. Aunque si que es raro esta supuesta exclusiva.

Yo tengo una espurna de esperanza con la segunda parte. Espero que hayan tomado buena nota de la "originalidad" de sus fases. :doh

Saldrá algo ese dia pero todo eso ni de casualidad, aunque ya veremos...

Mañana es 25, pero parece que no tendremos ninguna novedad.

Microsoft anuncia el cierre de Live y xbox.com por mantenimiento el lunes 29, 24h, para preparar la nueva experiencia... desgraciadamente, habrá que esperar más para que esté disponible.

This service maintenance is in preparation for the new Xbox experience which will be available later this fall.

Let me reiterate: When the service returns, you will not have any new features and you will not have the new Xbox experience update. That will happen later this Fall.

No release date for the new Xbox Experience has been confirmed by Microsoft. However, an Xbox Live in-dash advert points to November being the month of the release for the highly anticipated dashboard relaunch. An advert for Rock Band 2 out rightly states "Check out the new Xbox experience coming in November!"

Yo creo que si el "Scene it Box office Smash" va a salir el 28 de octubre y este juego ya hará uso de los nuevos avatars, la lógica dice que los avatars y el nuevo dash ya deberían estar disponibles para esa fecha, ¿no?

Don't expect the New Xbox Experience to roll out for over a month. In an interview with Scott Austin, Director of Digitally Distributed Games for Microsoft, IGN was told that the New Xbox Experience will be pushed out to Xbox 360s in November. While talking about new ways that are coming to purchase Xbox Live Arcade games, Austin said, "One of the great things we have with the New Xbox Experience that we're rolling out in November is that we now have web Marketplace available for our consumers."

Rumore rumore:

With Xbox Live down for maintence, everybody is digging for more information on the upcoming Xbox Live experience. Saturday, Xbox released a new site to preview some of the features for the new experience. They may have released more information then they wanted. If you look at this video with Xbox Live General Manager, they come across a “Browse” feature very breifly.

Comparativa del tiempo de carga de GTA IV desde el DVD y desde el HDD.

La mejora es sustancial, unos 7 segundos. Pero creo que con juegos como Oblivion, Mass Effect o Lost Odyssey, se notará y agradecerá más, ya que tienen muchas más cargas que GTA IV.

Según www.xbox360fanboy.com, la actualización NXE (New XBox Experience) + Avatars, requerirá 256 MB para ser descargada. Con lo cuál, es de suponer que si alguien tiene la arcade sin memory o HDD, lo va a tener crudo para actualizar.

Por lo visto, no se ha especificado lo que ocupa cada cosa, y es posible (y lógico) que la NXE ocupe mucho menos que los Avatars, y pueda descargarse de forma separada. No sabe más de momento!

Al final tendré que comprarme el disco duro... eso es la capacidad de la tarjeta de memoria...
