Re: PS3 | Uncharted

¿Me queda mucho?

Re: PS3 | Uncharted

Re: PS3 | Uncharted

===============================================================
Section I. A few tips for getting around
===============================================================

When maneouvering through the platforming sections, it is best to turn Nate
in the direction that you want him to go and press R3 to centre the camera
behind him. Note that Some parts of the game do not allow you to move the
camera around.

The treasures in this game are noted by an intermittent flashing light in the
environment. Look carefully and don't be hasty because you may miss the
flash of light.

If you want tips on how to find all the treasures without using this guide
for the locations, then always do these things while playing:
-ALWAYS look around every possible space using L2, leave no corner unseen
-ALWAYS cover EVERY possible piece of ground, even if it means you may die,
check it out regardless.
-Most treasures can be found without doing the above two steps all the time,
but you'll definitely miss some.

Section II. Treasure list and locations

===============================================================
===============================================================

There are actually 61 treasures because the Strange Relic counts as a
bonus treasure and is not a part of the in-game treasure list proper.

*NOTE: Pictures of where the treasures are will follow every treasure
location description. The number of pictures will vary depending on how
much visual description I felt was needed. The links to the pics are
long so they will be split up into two lines each.

To access the album containing all the Uncharted treasures pics instead
of copying and pasting all the links, follow this link:

Chapter I - Ambushed (0 treasures)
===============================================================

No treasures.

===============================================================
Chapter II - The Search for El Dorado (6 treasures)
===============================================================

----------------------------------
i. In the jungle...
----------------------------------

1) Silver Mosaic Inca Earring:
From the start of the chapter, follow the left side of the river bank until a
fairly large rock is blocking your way. Climb this rock and jump down on the
other side and the treasure should be at Nathan's feet.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ing_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ing_02.jpg

---------

2) Jeweled Silver Monkey:
This monkey is in the are where you have to push the big rock to break the
ground in order to enter the ruins. Make your way to the first stone that
slips as you walk forward on it. Jump forward to the first pillar, turn left,
and jump to the next pillar. The treasure is around the base of the tree.
Just in case you're still confused, stand where you had to push the rock down
and face the three pillars in the middle of the courtyard. The treasure is on
the right pillar.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... key_02.jpg

----------------------------------
ii. Temple ruins
----------------------------------

3) Decorated Gold Ring:
This treasure is where you have to shoot a barrel in order to topple a pillar.
The treasure is on the lower side (opposite the barrel and pillar). Face the
barrel and pillar and move left along the edge, to the side with the wooden
scaffolding. The treasure is in the very corner, between the pillar and the
edge of the gap. It may seem as if you will fall off, but it is safe.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ing_02.jpg

---------

4) Silver Llama:
This treasure is found after opening up the floor and filling up the water so
that you can jump in and swim. After getting out of the water, hug the right
wall and follow it into a nook where this treasure can be found.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ama_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ama_02.jpg

---------

5) Golden Inca Cup:
You can find this one in the room immediately after the dramatic collapsing of
the large wooden platform. After the cutscene, turn around so that you can see
one of those ceramic jars that you can shoot and break. The treasure is behind
this jar and on the body of a skeleton there.

iii. Outside the temple ruins
----------------------------------

6) Silver Turtle:
Immediately outside the temple ruins, there are four pillars. Climb up the
shortest one and make your way across the next three. The treasure is on the
last pillar.

===============================================================
Chapter III - A Surprsing Find (2 treasures)
===============================================================

----------------------------------
i. Monkeying up the cliffs
----------------------------------

7) Gold Tairona Pendant:
Midway through climbing up, you'll encounter your first yellow vine with red
leaves on it (this is the third vine you encounter). Instead of swinging
across with it, stop its swinging and climb up to the top where this treasure
is waiting.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... endant.jpg

---------

8) Gold and Turquoise Inca Earring:
This treasure can be found at the very tip of the German U-boat BEFORE entering
it. Run past the entrance and toward the very tip.

===============================================================
Chapter IV - Plane-wrecked (10 treasures)
===============================================================

----------------------------------
i. ...the mighty jungle...
----------------------------------

9) Silver Inca Figurine:
At the start of this chapter, turn around and face the giant tree with Nate's
parachute. The treasure is to the right of the base of the tree.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... gurine.jpg

---------

10) Silver Fish Charm:
When you first encounter the small waterfall, turn left and head toward the
nook in the rock wall. The treasure is behind the small tropical tree.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... arm_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... arm_02.jpg

---------

11) Gold Frog:
When you reach the first log crossing, drop down the ledge to the right of the
log to find this frog.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... rog_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... rog_02.jpg

---------

12) Intricate Gold Ring:
After killing the numerous pirates in the large open area, climb up the pillars
and follow the pillar to the end. Jump to the platform (there should be an
exploding barrel here if you haven't shot it yet). The treasure is in the
corner of this platform, near a small boulder.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ing_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ing_02.jpg

---------

13) Patterned Silver Ring:
In the last section before you jump over the large gated wall, head left and to
the corner where the top of the wall is partially blown out. Climb up onto the
ledge here and grab this treasure.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... r_Ring.jpg

---------

14) Golden Jaguar:
This treasure is in the next area (with pirates) after the previous treasure.
After defeating the pirates, head left (opposite the next area with the large
waterfall) and you'll see a huge white tree. The treasure is in the corner
between the huge white tree and the small white trees.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... Jaguar.jpg

---------

15) Silver Inca Vessel:
This cool-looking treasure is in the little section right before you discover
a section of Sullivan's crashed plane. In this area, you have to jump from
a slanted narrow slab of rock to a slanted log. The treasure is fairly easy
to spot: it is to the right and below the log, in the corner of the rock wall.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... Vessel.jpg

----------------------------------
ii. Booby...traps
----------------------------------

16) Golden Toothpick:
This one can be found immediately outside the area where Sullivan's plane
is crashed, before encountering the first wooden death trap.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... thpick.jpg

---------

17) Silver Bird Vessel:
This treasure is very easy to miss. It is separated from the previous treasure
by a platforming section. Once you finish the platforming section and before
you move onto the next area (containing numerous wooden death traps), head to
the right and to the cliff. Be very careful here because you will fall off
if you move too far from the edge because there is nothing for you to hang onto
here.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... sel_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... sel_02.jpg

---------

18) Silver Inca Earring:
After exiting the area with the wooden deathtraps, head forward, but make a
U-turn to the grassy ledge overlooking the area with the wooden deathtraps.
The treasure is lying in the grass here.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ing_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ing_02.jpg

===============================================================
Chapter V - The Fortress (4 treasures)
===============================================================

----------------------------------
i. The Fortress
----------------------------------

19) STRANGE RELIC:
A Precursor Orb from the Jak and Daxter games, cool! This treasure is special
because it's not a part of the in-game treasures list proper although it does
add one to the treasure count. The effect of this is that at the end of the
game, you will have 61/60 treasures if you've found all of them.

This one can be found in the area where you first encounter pirates in this
chapter. After defeating the pirates, go up the stairs and above the doorway
you first entered this area from. You need to jump to the roof of the broken
stone house as shown in the pic. The Strange Relic can be found in a corner on
the roof.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... lic_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... lic_02.jpg

---------

20) Silver Jaguar:
This cool cat is not too far from the Strange Relic. After getting the Strange
Relic, run toward the large pile of rubble and stone as shown in the picture.
Find your way over this pile of rock, and head toward the last watchtower
(the structures that look out to the ocean). The treasure will be inside
there.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... uar_01.jpg

---------

21) Gold Mosaic Inca Earring:
Thanks to Zeppo816 from GameFAQs for letting me know I missed this one, much
appreciated.

This is the second treasure that I missed through my treasure-hunting
playthrough. The location of this one is hard to describe because there are
many ways to see it. This treasure is between a large pile of rubble and an
arch-shaped iron gate. You can see where it is if you stand where the Strange
Relic is (see pic for example). After getting the last treasure, head down to
the section where this treasure is (the section before the machine gunner).
You'll have to kill 2 pirates here. Climb over the pile of rubble shown in the
pic and grab the earring.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ing_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ing_02.jpg

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ing_05.jpg

----------------------------------
ii. Inside the waterway
----------------------------------

22) Golden Spoon:
This one is very easy to miss. After killing the machine gunner, head up the
waterway and go into the room to the right with the torches. There is one
pirate here guarding the area. The spoon is behind the ammo boxes to the right
of the table (see pic). Walk on top of the box in the corner and pick up the
spoon.

===============================================================
Chapter VI - Unlocking the Past (4 treasures)
===============================================================

----------------------------------
i. Outside
----------------------------------

23) Silver Inca Mask:
When you first enter this area there will be a fight with some pirates. After
you defeat the pirates, head up the stairs and you'll see two very large trees
with white bark. There is one large tree growing right by the stairs, and
the other one is growing on the mossy green ledge. The treasure is behind
the tree growing on the mossy green ledge.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ask_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ask_02.jpg

----------------------------------
ii. Inside the fortress walls
----------------------------------

24) Spanish Silver Coin:
You can grab this treasure after unlocking the door with the keys and fighting
the swarms of pirates. Head up to the large gate at the far end of where the
gunfight took place. Face the left side (the side with a giant white tree).
There will be a small pile of rocks there. Climb up these rocks and hop over
the ledge for the coin.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... oin_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... oin_02.jpg

---------

25) Silver Tairona Pendant:
After going upstairs and defeating all the enemies, you'll have to go down a
set of broken set of stairs from which you won't be able to climb back up.
After this set of stairs is small room with some crates and ammo boxes. The
treasure is to the right of the small set of stairs.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... endant.jpg

---------

26) Gold Llama:
This next one can be found after defeating the small group of pirates on the
walkway overlooking the courtyard. While making your way to your next
destination, you'll have to do some platforming. The llama is behind the
small green trees and the pile of rubble shown in the pics.

No treasures.

===============================================================
Chapter VIII - The Drowned City (2 treasures)
===============================================================

----------------------------------
i. Through the city
----------------------------------

27) Decorated Silver Ring:
Upon entering the first area with pirates, make a right and the treasure can
be found by the small plant in the ground.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... r_Ring.jpg

---------

28) Silver Frog:
This amphibian can be found in what used to be a house. This section comes
after encountering the pirate who has a grenade launcher. The frog is around
the back corner of the house. It is hard to describe exactly where it is so
use the pics as a reference.

Chapter IX - To the Tower (1 treasure)
===============================================================

----------------------------------
i. Leaving the city
----------------------------------

29) Golden Fish Charm:
You can find this treasure in the area after getting off the jetski.
Before entering the bluish-looking tunnel at the end of this area (see pic),
head left to a wall where the treasure can be found. It is by the dead pirate
shown in the pic.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... arm_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... arm_02.jpg

===============================================================
Chapter X - The Customs House (2 treasures)
===============================================================

----------------------------------
i. Housewarming party
----------------------------------

30) Jeweled Golden Brooch:
After sliding down the metal cable, go down to the corner looking at the door
(the one you open to let Elena in) to find the brooch. See pic for reference.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... Brooch.jpg

---------

31) Silver Belt Buckle:
This treasure is after the cutscene where Nate and Elena are looking at the
customs ledger. After killing the lone pirate with the shotgun, head all the
way up the first set of stairs you see (you may want to take out the other
pirates first) and the belt buckle will be lying in the corner.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... kle_02.jpg

===============================================================
Chapter XI - Trapped (3 treasures)
===============================================================

----------------------------------
i. It's a trap!
----------------------------------

32) Spanish Gold Coin:
After the cutscene showing the boat leaving, you'll face some pirates in the
next area. Head up the staircase that splits in two directions, and take the
right path up to a small section of a broken floor where the treasure is.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... oin_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... oin_02.jpg

---------

33) Silver Spanish Chalice:
This treasure is found beside the staircase opposite to where the last treasure
was. After saving Elena on the bridge, head all the way down the stairs and to
the left where all the plants and rubble are. The chalice can be found here.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... halice.jpg

----------------------------------
ii. Trap averted!
----------------------------------

34) Gold Coatimundi:
This coatimundi (coatimundi?) can be found after leaving the customs house and
heading into a cavern of sorts. The treasure can be found behind a pile of
ammo boxes.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ndi_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ndi_02.jpg

===============================================================
Chapter XII - Heading Upriver (0 treasures)
===============================================================

Annoying jetskiing section, no treasures.

===============================================================
Chapter XIII - Sanctuary? (7 treasures)
===============================================================

----------------------------------
i. Jungle ruins
----------------------------------

35) Golden Turtle:
This one is quite easy to miss. You can get it in two ways:
1) After getting off the jetski, jump into the water and swim to the ledge
behind the waterwheel and go behind the waterwheel. The treasure is on the
small ledge against the broken bridge.
2) After defeating the pirates, jump from the bridge near where it's
broken, to the ledge below.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... tle_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... tle_02.jpg

---------

36) Silver Inca Cup:
After viewing the cutscene involving the deathtrap being made of the airplane
parts, go under the dilapidated staircase to get this treasure. It is lying on
some rocks in the water, directly underneath the staircase.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... Cup_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... Cup_02.jpg

----------------------------------
ii. The monastery
----------------------------------

37) Jeweled Silver Cross:
This one is found in a little room near where you shoot the large pile of
exploding barrels.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... oss_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... oss_02.jpg

----------------------------------
iii. To the library
----------------------------------

This area (after Elena opens the gate and Nate holds it open) has three
treasures, be sure to get all of them. However, you do revisit this area later
in the game so there is a second opportunity to grab these.

38) Silver Toothpick:
This one can be found to the right of where you first enter this area. You'll
likely need to kill all the enemies before being able to get it. Jump over
the stone railing to get it.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ick_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ick_02.jpg

---------

39) Gold Spanish Chalice:
Starting from where you first came into this area, go down the ramp and make a
left past the large staircase, all the way to the wall, then turn left again
to the corner where the rubble is.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ice_01.jpg
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... ice_02.jpg

---------

the waterfall.

the corner behind the trap door.

47) Gold and Ruby Inca Mask:
Thanks to "Pristine_Condition" from the NeoGAF boards for helping me pinpoint
the location of this one.

This is the one I missed in my original run even though it's not very hidden.
This little trinket is at the very end of chapter XIV where you need to crank
a chain wheel to open the wooden door to chapter XV. The room is extremely
small so it's easy to find this treasure.

Ok so of course the treasures are opposite the way you're supposed to go

IV up the stairs, and then follow I to the end of the path.

one swinging in front of the IV sign). When you reach the top of the stairs
before the lantern, stop and turn left to face the III sign on the pillar.
Aim yourself diagonally so that you jumps just to the left of the pillar. The
jump should be successful and you can claim your prize at the end of the

56) Gold Snuff Box:
Wow, this one is extra tricky, I was actually a little stumped, but a gold
snuff box is worth the trouble. To get this one, get to the area where there's
a I and VII sign around the rusted iron gate. Go to the part of the railing
beside the broken section and press forward+X to climb over and hang on it.
Now jump backward to the platform where the snuff box is. If you don't want to
die getting off the platform, then do a running jump onto the portruding block
which is underneath the part of the railing you originally jumped from.

Section III. The treasures in real life
(most info obtained from Wikipedia)
===============================================================

Naughty Dog did some pretty in-depth research for the treasures in this game,
and it shows too. I believe that most of these treasures are of Incan origin.
They did a wonderful job in creating the highly detailed virtual counterparts
of these ancient artifacts, especially the gold Tairona pendant, wow! Now I
can't wait to see what treasures are in the next game with Nathan Drake.

---------

1) El Dorado (Spanish: "the gilded one"):
El Dorado is a legend that began with the story of a South American tribal
chief who covered himself with gold dust and would dive into a lake of pure
mountain water.

The legend began in the 1530s, in the Andes of present-day Colombia, where
conquistador Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada first found the Muisca, a nation in the
modern day Cundinamarca and Boyacá highlands of Colombia, in 1537.

The story of the Muisca rituals was brought to Quito by Sebastian de
Belalcazar’s men; mixed with other rumors, there arose the legend of
'El Dorado' (meaning the Golden Man rather than a place - 'el indio dorado',
the golden Indian or 'El Rey Dorado', The Golden King).

Imagined as a place, El Dorado became a kingdom, an empire, the city of this
legendary golden king.

---------

2) Inca Empire:
The Inca Empire (or Inka Empire) was the largest empire in pre-Columbian
America. The administrative, political and military center of the empire was
located in Cuzco. The Inca Empire arose from the highlands of Peru sometime in
early 13th century. The Incas identified their king as "child of the sun."

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... Empire.jpg

---------

3) Llama (Llama glama):
The only species of the camel family that is native to the western world.
The llama is a South American camelid, widely used as a pack animal by the
Incas and other natives of the Andes mountains. A very cool-looking animal.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc13 ... /Llama.jpg

---------

4) The Tairona Peoples:
Tairona is a group of chiefdoms in the region of Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta
in present-day Cesar, Magdalena and La Guajira Departments of Colombia. The
Tairona civilization is most renowned for its distinctive goldwork. The gold
artifacts comprise of pendants, lip-plugs, nose ornaments, necklaces, and
earrings. Gold cast Tairona figure pendants (known as "caciques") in particular
stand out among the goldworks of precolumbian America because of their richness
in detail.

5) Coatimundi (Nasua nasua):
Part of the raccoon family, a coatimundi is a cute little diurnal mammal native
to South, Central and south-western North America. The word coatimundi is a
commonly used misnomer applied to solitary adult male Nasua nasua.
The coatimundi has a long pig-like snout and bear-like paws (crazy!)

Re: PS3 | Uncharted

Mil gracias. :hail
