Se había filtrado hace unos días pero ya es oficial: Crysis 3 está en desarrollo y saldrán en consolas y PC la primavera de 2013.

Powered by Crytek’s proprietary CryENGINE®, Crysis 3 advances the state of the art with unparalleled visuals and dynamic shooter gameplay. Players take on the role of ‘Prophet’ as he returns to New York, only to discover that the city has been encased in a Nanodome created by the corrupt Cell Corporation. The New York City Liberty Dome is a veritable urban rainforest teeming with overgrown trees, dense swamplands and raging rivers. Within the Liberty Dome, seven distinct and treacherous environments become known as the Seven Wonders. This dangerous new world demands advanced weapons and tactics. Prophet will utilize a lethal composite bow, an enhanced Nanosuit and devastating alien tech to become the deadliest hunter on the planet.

Set in 2047, Prophet is on a revenge mission after uncovering the truth behind Cell Corporation’s motives for building the quarantined Nanodomes. The citizens were told that the giant citywide structures were resurrected to protect the population and to cleanse these metropolises of the remnants of Ceph forces. In reality, the Nanodomes are CELL’s covert attempt at a land and technology grab in their quest for global domination. With Alien Ceph lurking around every corner and human enemies on the attack, nobody is safe in the path of vengeance. Everyone is a target in Prophet’s quest for retribution.

Crytek also announced that players who are ready to start the hunt can pre-order the Crysis® 3 Hunter Edition* today. The Crysis 3 Hunter Edition gives players the tools to become the ultimate hunter in multiplayer with early access to the new signature bow and its attachments, plus the Hunter Nanosuit module which adds additional power and functionality to the super-suit. Gamers who pre-order now will also have a head start when playing online with a bonus XP boost up to level 5, a unique bow skin and three exclusive dog tags to hunt in style**. This powerful, close-range shotgun comes with a unique silencer attachment, custom weapon skin and two exclusive themed in-game dog tags.
  • Overkill Pack – Includes the base game, all Hunter Edition content and the following early multiplayer unlocks: the Overkill Pack features early multiplayer access to the Typhoon assault weapon and skin. Spewing 500 rounds a second, the Typhoon gives players the ability to go guns blazing to take back the Liberty Dome. Also included are two exclusive Overkill themed in-game dog tags.

Con ese arma extraterrestre azul me recuerda muchísimo al 1 que para mi mucho mejor que el dos lo que me gusta del dos es la musiquita épica esa qu tiene en los momentos clave.

Lo cierto es que a mi esta saga me da cierta pereza... Al primero no he jugado, pero el 2 lo jugué en 360 y lo cierto es que me dejó algo frío, más allá de su poderío técnico (aunque hay que decir que estaba bien repleto de bugs también).

Yo también tengo el primero pendiente y el segundo me pareció muy entretenido gracias especialmente a su depurada jugabilidad pero lo cierto es que sin haber jugado al primero me pareció poco original.

Aunque a mi los shooters en general me gustan mucho o sea que con que vayan finos a nivel de jugabilidad ya suelen tener puntos a favor.

Lo que mas me decepcionó del segundo a parte de una historia insulsa y poco interesante fue la mecánica ya que jugando en sigilo, con pillar un poco el truco a la invisibilidad y esconderse se podía hacer todo de la misma forma sin ser demasiado difícil y los niveles no aportaban alicientes a buscar distintas formas si escogías ir en plan Rambo o con sigilo.

Yo jugué al primero en PC y al Crysis 2 en play3. El 2 está consolizado, perdiendo casi todas las opciones de exploración y juego con el entorno que hacían del 1 una gozada.

Sobre lo que dice Projecte ZX, el final de Crysis 2 era penoso, porque poniendo invisiblidad y corriendo cumplías los objetivos de la última misión en cero coma. Lo que se suponía el gran desafío final era de risa. Un fallo de diseño brutal.

Ahora solo falta que hagan juegos que estén a la altura de su tecnologia... :p

A mi me parece que pese a tener la tecnología el diseño artístico es bastante ortopédico, lo que impide que el motor luzca de verdad. He visto cosas con motores mucho más modestos que eran considerablemente más impactantes y bonitas.

Completamente de acuerdo. El diseño del Crysis siempre me ha parecido muy anodino y genérico, el aspecto visual de su protagonista me parece feo feo. Típica superarmadura high-tech sin mucha gracia ni personalidad.

GAMESCOM 2012: EA presenta "Hunter", uno de los modos multijugador

Se trata de un modo multijugador para 16 personas. En él dos grupos, Hunters y soldados Cell, deben luchar entre sí. Sólo una de las dos facciones ganará. ¿Dónde está la parte nueva? Pues que de los 16 jugadores sólo 2 serán Hunters, el resto jugarán como soldados y al ir muriendo resucitarán como Hunters.

el primero, me pareció un truño jugablemente hablando.
El 2 ya se podía jugar, al menos. Y ganaba mucho con la consola de opciones gráficas avanzadas.
Este tercero, parece que va a ir por el mismo camino que el 2
